What is DryDock Models?As stated in the site welcome, we are a site dedicated to the advancement of the hobby of model ship building. Along these lines, we are attempting to provide an open area for the discussion of model ships which allows the transmission of both ideas and media between modelers around the world.

What's up with the news?This is a selection of news items that we believe is of particular interest to those involved with ships and their models.
Currently only a select few individuals can post news stories. If you would like to submit one, please feel free to send mail to news@drydockmodels.com. If you repeatedly send us good information, we may request that you become a permanent member of the DryDock Models news team.

What are Independent pre-built Models?
These models are all built by various individuals throughout the world. Often time, these people use the models as a second source of income that pays for the hobby. If you are interested in selling a model, please contact us at sales@drydockmodels.com
How much does it cost to have a model listed for sale?
There is no initial listing fee. You only pay if your model sell! You are able to sell as many or as few models as you have. To maintain the quality of our models listed in the Independent section, we request that you send us at least six 1024 x 768 images of your model. We at DryDock Models reserve the right to refuse selling any model that we believe is not of high quality for the end user. If you are interested in selling your models with us, please contact us at sales@drydockmodels.com .
How long will a model be listed?
Your model will be listed until it sells or the internet collapses.
We currently accept credit cards and money orders. On all orders for ships that are currently in stock, they will be shipped immediately upon our receiving payment. Ships that are currently not in stock, require a 30% non-refundable down payment with the remainder due closer to the ship's delivery.
Upon delivery a buyer is allowed 5 days to inspect the model. If you are unsatisfied with the model, you are able to return the model in its original packaging for a full refund (minus shipping and deposit if applicable). If a model is damaged in shipping, we guarantee it will be fixed at no cost to the buyer.

What is the point of the gallery?The gallery is intended to build an archive of ship related images. By having images of real ships and various users constructed model, we hope to advance the art of model building by providing various examples and allowing users to comment on them.
Are my right to my model photos affected if I upload them to the gallery?
Short answer, No. Check out our Terms of Use page located here.
How do I post images in the gallery?
Send your images to gallery@drydockmodels.net. We do not guarantee that every image submitted will be added to the gallery. Please try to make your images 1024 x 768 or larger. We reserve the right to downscale extremely large images.
In order to manage the content of the gallery, we ask that all users initially submit their images to gallery@drydockmodels.net. If you are continually providing us with quality images, we may provide you with a gallery account to allow you to post your own images.
